I just bought Morrowind on Steam. I have heard its a great game but that mods are needed to bring it up a notch given the differences in time.Im not overly computer savy but want to try this but need some help.Where should I start and what do I need to do? I tried the Morrowind mod that is supposed to 'overhaul' the game but it doesnt seem to actually implement anything. All of your help would be greatly appreciated. If you can suggest mods, it would be great as well.My computer kind of sucks (2500k, 560ti, 8 gigs of ram), so I doubt I can really handle the crazy mods. Happy slashing! 105 Responses to “Install Warband Mod for Steam and Non-Steam Users”. The Modules folder used by Warband should always contain the Native folder. You may be looking at a folder named similarly but which is not the true Modules folder. I believe there is such a folder in the Steam folder, but it is used for something different (modding certain games through Steam, I think). The video at 2:30 shows the full path to the Modules folder you need. Can you send a screenshot of the folder you are looking at? I sent you my email a couple minutes ago.We shall get to the bottom of this ?. @kaan @PleaseHelpMake sure your that when you extract the mod it doesn’t create multiple folders within folders. In other words, when you double-click on the mod’s folder, it should show a list of several folders and files. How do I uninstall Morrowind overhaul 3.0? » Thu Jul 11, 2013 3:26 pm So I have come to the conclusion that I am not going to be spending too much time playing morrowind anymore, because there are a lot of things in my life I have to make time for, and I was wondering, since this mod is pretty LARGE, how to completely remove all files from my. How to install MSGO 3.0 for Steam version of Morrowind. I installed MGSO 3.0, it says the installation was successful though Morrowind crashes when I. Oct 6, 2012 - I bought the GOTY edition of Morrowind from the Steam store a few days. I installed MGSO 3.0, it says the installation was successful though. If it instead shows another folder named after the mod, then double folders were created. The easiest way to install it correctly is to move the.rar or.zip containing the mod into the Modules folder, then right-click, and select “Extract here”. Or you can open the.rar/.zip and look for an option “Extract here.”Hopefully that is the solution to your problem. If you provide some more details, I would be happy to help. I’ve watched your videos, read through taleworlds forum, checked out nights and nights of information on mod installing and i’m stuck in a rut. I never wanted to ask because the information all seems so “barny style” but i just can’t play any of the mods i download. I follow your youtube video to the T.a dozen times over. The only one that was a success was tweakmb. Would that be stopping all the others? I just want native, single player, small mods like troops, banners, companionsbut i can’t. Any patient help would be appreciated. Haha Scoz, I keep an ear to the ground for new updates on these things. I'm subscribed to the MGSO and TR YouTube channels and I check their sites pretty regularly for new content, especially when I know they've got things in the works.Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing how much more streamlined and simplified this install process will be, because I too had issues with installation of the original and 2.0 releases of MGSO. Also can't wait for them to release the MOGE so I can check it out. I haven't been able to find an official changelog or list of features as yet, but I would assume that, because the project is really mostly a compilation of mods from the Morrowind modding community, there won't be a lot of new content, other than new releases of other mods people have continued to work on, bugfixes, increased user-friendliness and greater ease of installation, plus the auto-updater. May not be entirely worth it for people already running on MGSO 2.0, but if it's easier to install it will probably be harder to install incorrectly, which may mean that users are able to actually get the optimum results from the pack which may have been difficult to achieve without being a little tech savvy previously, if that makes sense. Also certainly great for anyone new to Morrowind and/or Morrowind modding. I've reinstalled the game from nothing after deleting the folder like 3 times, and every time after going through the long process of installing MGSO 3.0. I start the game from the launcher it just crashes, doesn't even begin to try and open, just stops working immediately with no other information. Yes I have made sure every step is done to the exact specifications of the mod, including UAC, it only wouldn't be working if the installation process is lying to me that I have the settings and prerequisites it wants me to have. Tried running from admin and compatibility mode, nothing. If this doesn't work soon I'm just gonna get rid of it all and install my own mods. I don't want shaders and trees anyway. Just gona ask if a couple things for pure troubleshooting reasons to see what all you have tried. Please bear with me if you have done any or all of these allready.1. Checked the unmodded game to mkae sure it runs/loads properly.2. Disabled Steam UI before installing the mod?3. Disabled cloud sync (incase its screwing with configuration settings)4. DIsabled read only mode for Morrowind install directory and subfolders.5.Installign the most current version of the mod downloaded from its primary source?6. Win XP Compatabiltiy moded everything?7. Usual Up to date grapical driver stuff.8. Do you have any virtual input software (usualy conflicts with the installer but worth asking none the less. When it crashes does it give any message? If not there may be a report in the applications/system section of your event viewer logs that may (or may not) provide helpfull information.MGSO for some can be a bugger to get working for strange reasons and it seems everyone has a unique problem that range from the mundane (Read only mode) to the bizzare (Dual graphics cards on laptops). OK, I think I have nailed the problem down to MGE XE, I have cleared my morrowind directory and begun to install a bunch of small mods as I was fed up with MGSO. They all worked completely fine until I installed MGE XE, I get the exact same crash as I did with MGSO so it has to be the problem. I'll answer your questions so you can maybe pinpoint it1. Checked the unmodded game to mkae sure it runs/loads properly.yes2. Disabled Steam UI before installing the mod?yes3. Mgso InstallDisabled cloud sync (incase its screwing with configuration settings)have not tried that yet, will try4.
